Stayed on a Sunday night, but arrived mid afternoon, our room was ready, lovely, cosy, great views, the sun was shining so we took advantage of supping our Chardonnay on the massive lawn area, the food was lush and "home cooked" Definitely coming back soon.
Stayed for a weekend with my husband, friendly staff at check in who showed us to our room. The room was a village view room, which was fairly small but big enough for a weekend stay. Positives were really comfortable bed, location right in the heart of Grasmere and good breakfast. on the Saturday night came back to the hotel at 9pm from a day out in Ambleside and both restaurants had stopped serving food so couldn't have any dinner that night in my opinion a little early to stop serving food. Thought the stay was a little overpriced, but we did enjoy our stay. Grasmere was a little too quiet in the evening for our liking so probably wouldn't stay there again.

Lovely hotel, extremely comfortable room, clean and modern bathroom with massive bath towels and excellent free toiletries. Loads of pillows - top marks! Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly particularly during mealtimes. The food was very good and plentiful. The best breakfast I've been offered anywhere, loads to choose from and extremely tasty - the best Cumberland sausage I've ever had! Waiters and waitresses very attentive, nothing too much trouble.
Ideal location. Beautiful scenery. Lovely local lakeside park. Easy walk into Ambleside.
Lovel hotel, comfortable bed, very comfortable room, we were ground floor because we had a dog with us, we had a door straight out into the car park which was excellant with the dog as we did not have to take her through the hotel. Breakfast was wonderful, staff could not do enough for you, would highly recommend, hope to stay there again very soon.
