Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
First impression was rude service. From the first moment we felt unwelcome and we were Putting them out. Amenities appear never to have been upgraded since seventies eg old carpet in shower, cracked shower tiles, old bedding styles, old electrics and directed to use an overloaded floor level socket for kettle. Walls are paper thin so we could hear next door’s tv clearer than our own. Breakfast was edible but from seventies eg glacé cherry on grapefruit in metal bowl. Fellow guests agreed; where we described it as Faulty Towers they responded ‘more like Bates Motel’
