"Overall great experience at Strand Palace. Fabulous location in Covent Garden with access to restaurants, stores, theatre and three different Underground stations each within 1/4. "We arrived just before 12pm and placed our suitcase into the concierge which is excellent. We did this as we could not check in until 3pm and therefore went sightseeing into London for the day. When we came back at 8.30pm we found our room was still not ready as they had not placed a bed for my daughter in the room which was requested prior. The staff took another 60 mins to put a bed into our room so our daughter couldn't go to bed when she wanted to. The staff apologised but it came across like we were in the wrong in how they spoke. Nothing provided to us to apologise for this inconvenience. In addition our hotel window was broken and the air con didn't really work so the room was very hot. The hotel views are amazing and the location is great for tourists looking to explore London. However the hotel does look tired and does need a revamp. "
