"A beautiful property that has been renovated tastefully by the owners. Free parking at the rear of the property. Very comfortable room (we booked a superior room) and bed, good breakfast selection from continental to full English. Location is great, just a 5 minute walk into York, we really enjoyed our stay. Some nice touches, mini fridge in the room with fresh real milk (mini bar too if you wish). Home made jams, butter and bread available at breakfast, together with Paul's specials. ...

"Fab location right in the centre of York, the place has lots of character and beautiful grounds. The room was very quiet and private. Staff very friendly and breakfast was excellent. Just let down a little by our check in experience (waited 15 minutes before member of staff arrived) also blinds in room let in lots of light so we were awake around 6am. All in all a lovely stay and would happily return "

"The hotel is perfectly located in a little street in the city centre. Easy to get to and from and 10 min walking from the train station. It is surrounded by little shops and restaurants. The room is a good size. The bed and pillows are OK and the bathroom is a good size as well. Breakfast is included and really nice. Everyone is very attentive and eager to help. "

"Perfect hotel all around. Perfect spot a 2 minute walk from the city. The rooms were clean and they added a note on the mirror as we was away for my Girlfriend’s birthday wishing her a happy birthday which we thought was a great touch. The grab and go section was perfect with free pot noodles and crisps and drinks to take to the room. 100% will come again"
