"A lovely peaceful location - very convenient for Harrogate and York. The property was clean with up to date decor - nice view from the sitting room window. The breakfast of cereal/croissants was a nice touch. We also found a lovely pub about 10 minutes drive away with amazing food - there were several to choose from. The owner was friendly and helpful. Suitable for a couple or a small family - there is one bedroom with a double bed, and the other with twin beds."

"Hotel is well located with good breakfast choice, nice bar and shuffleboard game in the bar area. Room was spacious but in need of some tlc. AC in part of the room did not work. Carpets were stained and flooring creaky. Bed was comfy and we appreciated that the kids didn't have to share beds, as they had a sofa bed and a single bed. We stayed on the hottest days of the year so far and requested an additional fan due to the broken AC. We were told they had a fan available and someone would bring it to our room within 15-20mins. Four chasing phone calls and 2hours later they still hadn't brought the fan despite saying every time that they would. Chased again at breakfast the next day and still did get the fan. Not a huge deal, but not great service."
