Great hotel in a central location to york. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable and added to the stay.
Hotel was clean and tidy.
Breakfast was great and even though it was a pet friendly hotel it was very clean.
Will be staying again
The room was nice and spacious with everything that was needed for our stay.
Parking is quite sparse considering the number of rooms the hotel has but I don’t think much can be done about that. On the whole we had a really good time.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Slight problem with the room allocated to us as it was below expected standard. However, this was rectified quickly with a change of room. Great service given by reception staff.
Was all fine apart from strangers blone hairs hanging off lamp in room and also lamp had never had a dust in what looked like many months. Didn't want to have a proper look around incase anything else was found!!
The staff were very polite and helpful and the room was cleane and appceptabl but in need of some tlc .we didn't take the first room because it was by the main road and and more run down than the one we changed to .
Breakfast was ok .
We booked a room for ourselves and our 17 year old daughter. There was no bed made up for her, no towels for her. No air con and to cool down the windows needed to remain open, making the room noisy from the street. Overall it looked like it needed an update on the inside. Very helpful, friendly staff and the location was very good.
Property was of a clean standard with staff being good, however the room had some issues, with being on ground floor, the bathroom could do with frosted window instead of plain glass you could see inside also no bath plug so no bath but shower was available. There was no toilet roll holder . Toilet rolls had to be put on cistern. Breakfast was good standard quality, parking was ok but can't understand why a charge was in place for paying guests...

Liked: Staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
Reception & restaurant was beautiful. Staff were lovely. Disappointed with the room, very small not the cleanest, not well maintained, broken shower screen which we reported straight away, no coffee /tea. Room was over £200. Just expected a little more for our money & room to be nicer for a Hilton, pictures deceiving. For this reason we wouldn’t stay again.
Great location in York
Couldn’t fault this hotel
Staff very helpful
The breakfast buffet was excellent
All food items and contents clearly stated
As a coeliac /gluten free it is always a concern but everything was spot on !
Thank you
We’ll be back 😊
We arrived and they were having some work done on the outside, but being a Sunday night no one was working. We had an easy check in but was shocked at the £25 parking fee (only £5 at the Holiday inn)
Staff were polite and helpful.
We went to the room on the 3rd floor which was fairly dark but was clean and had an enormous bed, made with a quilt 2 pillows each. All the furniture was dark wood, there was a hairdryer, iron and board in the wardrobe. And a large TV.
The bathroom had a bath that would have got us both in, it also had a heated towel rail. Big fluffy towels.
We went out into York for a meal at the pub for dinner, York was beautiful, clean and had some lovely little shops.
Breakfast in the morning was full English plus continental if needed. It was hot and lots of it. The staff were very friendly.
We slept so well, the bed was very comfortable and the room had a fan in as it was warm.
Check out was easy in the morning.
Central location really lovely breakfast friendly staff etc. Air con / heating unit wasn’t working but there was an oil heater provided that did the job so no drama. Lovely stay would recommend
