"Warm welcome, comfortable room, in a slightly quirky hotel. Reception staff & waiting staff very helpful. The decor in places (including our en-suite!) is beginning to need a refresh, but everywhere was clean. Breakfasts were excellent, but no dinner service at this hotel. However, The Plough pub across the road serves tasty, albeit uncomplicated food in a convivial atmosphere. Guests certainly need to be aware that it’s a lengthy walk into the city, but this is easily overcome by using the very frequent local bus & Park & Ride services which pickup from t’other side of the street. Overall, a successful stay."

"We cannot rate the Novotel highly enough, the staff are super friendly and efficient. Excellent breakfast, we also ate at the restaurant one evening, again a very enjoyable experience.
