(1,001 reviews) Bathtub in room takes over 1 hour to fill up due to very low water pressure, food is very low quality and inconsistent, chef seems like he has no clue what is going on. There is no proper beach access. Rooms are very spacious and clean, staff are very friendly and competent. Hot tubs on roof either barely work or don’t work at all, very nice view from the room but no beach access from the hotel, you need to walk off the property and go around. Bar/restaurant by the pool closes at 5pm so if you want a drink after 5 by the pool you need to go all the way to the other restaurant. Honestly if you just need a place to stay and don’t plan on staying in the resort it’s a good option, if you want to stay on the resort for most of all of your trip I would not recommend. (519 reviews) We recently stayed at the adults-only Heaven section at Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya and overall, the resort itself was good. The property is beautiful, the atmosphere is fun, and the adults-only vibe made for a relaxing getaway. The room amenities were very nice, modern, and well maintained. Housekeeping did a great job keeping everything clean and refreshed during our stay. However, we were very disappointed with a major issue during our trip. We lost power from 2:00 AM until 5:30 PM for two out of the three days we were there. This significantly impacted our experience. With no electricity, we were limited on drinks, couldn’t properly use our room, had cold showers, no lights, and even had to get ready using a flashlight. To make matters worse, many of the restaurants were also closed due to the power outage, which greatly limited dining options during our stay. It was frustrating to lose so much usable time during such a short trip, especially when we were looking forward to enjoying everything the resort offers. While the resort overall has a lot of potential and the accommodations themselves were comfortable and clean, the extended power outages and resulting closures greatly affected our experience and overall enjoyment. We hope this was an isolated situation, as the property itself has the foundation for a truly great vacation.
