Love Secrets Akumal, have been three years in a row and the resort is incredible - from the rooms, to the employees, to the beach and water. Restaurant options are numerous and food is comparable to other high-end resorts. The people there are wonderful, and the option of having the quiet pool is what helped sell us the first time we picked Akumal and one of the things that keep us coming back.

Secrets was clean, staff were very helpful and friendly, the pools were beautiful and there was always entertainment happening. The quiet pool was calm and relaxing if you wanted a more serene setting. The food was great and we never had to wait long at the restaurants. And if you are looking for a a late night the DJ in the lounge was so much fun! Great place for couples to relax and reconnect.

Omg!!! I had an absolute amazing time!! Annie served me in my building. The food was great! The activities were fun and active. I am so blessed to have experience this because this was we work hard and reward yourself for! Again, absolutely amazing! I can’t wait to go back!

Property has lush green grounds, lots of trees and could be difficult to find your way around. The beach was not good, lots a of saggaman so it made it dificult to go in water. Staff was very friendly. Restaurants choices we good as well. Not the best ocean view from the room balcony. Septic/Sewer smell was very strong on the property grounds.

We travel often to Mexico and I will say this was one of our favorite resorts. The grounds are beautiful, the staff is top notch and the location is perfect. We snorkeled everyday right out front of the hotel and saw so much wildlife. We watched a mother sea turtle lay her eggs on the beach at night and we snorkeled with so many sea turtles. José Mejía the Concierge in Building 4 went above and beyond for us. My bathing suit top blew away from laying out on our patio drying and he went and talked to everyone to find it. The only hiccup was the sargassum sea weed that is floating in during this time on the beach but the staff worked around the clock to get it cleaned up. We will absolutely be back!

Everything from check-in to check-out was excellent. We could not have asked for a better experience. Francisco at check-in was great, as was Juan at check-out. Efrain with VIP services was helpful and made our stay better. Alexandria was our concierge and she made sure we had everything we needed, from room maintenance to making reservations for dinner at the Japanese hibachi experience. Luisa from the Spa made reservations for us for some relaxing massages, and Carmen and Luz were excellent at those massages. Food was 10/10. Everything we got to eat, and the restaurants we got to try were delicious. The entire staff was so pleasant and made sure our stay was going well. I could not speak more highly of the entire staff and time we were there.

I went for 6 days and had an amazing experience! The staff is wonderful!!! I really enjoyed the activities at the activities pool. I stayed in a first level room with the swim up pool, which was wonderful. I was in a preferred room which included room service and had a concierge on site. The resort itself is beautiful, about 1.5 hours away from Cancun airport. I personally did not love the food for dinner at the restaurants, which I kind of expected from an all-inclusive. The breakfast buffet was delicious with many options. They do have daily events at the resort which included food options, such as burgers, quesadillas, etc. made fresh on the grill outside, those options were great. Overall, I would recommend this resort, very beautiful with wonderful staff.
