"I have stayed many times at this hotel as it's convenient to where I occasionally work. One of the reasons I always went back was because it's staff were so helpful. Unfortunately they have now installed a tablet check-in system and reduced the no. of check-in staff. In my opinion this has had a detrimental effect on the check-in experience - especially problematic if you were checking in at the same time as a large group. There are other hotels offering a more personalised service where you're able to speak with real people. I will certainly be seeking these out in future."

"Stunning Lobby and bar. Check in experience was satisfactory. Room was small with small double bed. Cocktails at the bar were great however the bar experience was disappointing. Along with other residents we had to wait at least 45 minutes in between drinks to be served again at one point having asked for more drinks the server disappeared and forgot us…. we were still expected to pay13.5% service charge. Frustration was clear amongst the people around us. The bar was understaffed and the frustration with this was also apparent amongst them! We gave our feedback on check out about the bar experience, the team member was sympathetic but advised that we should have reported this to the bar staff at the time. This was not appropriate to do at the time as it was difficult enough getting a drink let alone trying to give feedback or refusing to pay a service charge.We were offered a voucher however we were leaving at that moment so declined the offer and just left our feed back. Great location for central London ..just next to Hyde Park "

"We booked this particular hotel for two reasons. 1) How amazingly well placed it is, so close to the main shopping streets, the theatre district, chinatown and travel links 2) Each room has a mini kitchenette with coffee machine, microwave, sink and fridge (the fridge alone made it worth it with the weather being so warm) What we didn't plan for was just how brilliant the staff were. Checked us in early when we arrived, invited us down for a drink in the evening and placed balloons, chocolate and wine on our bed along with a lovely card to celebrate my wife's birthday. We will certainly be returning next time we visit London."
