"We just spent a night in this hotel. Room given to us good size room with small double size bed. Tea cups were not provided in the room, though a cattle and tea/coffee and microwave was provided. "
"A decent bed for the night, with on suite toilet (no toilet paper though).
Decent shared kitchen to use if required, and a quite area at night.
Overall, I'll book with Darwin Guest house again."
"On arrival no staff just a pin number sent to access room. On entering i sat on mattress and nearly fell through as its so thin and missing so many springs plus springs went straight into bottom. The tiny light on wall had no bulb in and was rusty and dirty. Room was dirty no wonder it was £30 for a night"
"Good value.
Building needs maintenance- we had to help other guests get into their rooms where doors were broken and door locks were sticking.
Location fab for Portswood and easy to find parking on a Saturday night ."
"The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, the food in the restaurant was excellent and the breakfast (included in room price) was super quality."
"Parked at Sainsbury's using JustPark then five mins walk to accom. Easy to find and was on top floor in the roof conversation. VERY warm night and almost slept outside instead. Couple fans would have been great. Bed was comfy. Shared shower and kitchen spaces with the other residents "
"This property was not as described, the room had nothing but a bed and some cupboards it’s the most basic living space you can imagine. There were some unsavoury characters staying there as felt unsafe."

"Check in and checking out went very smoothly. Kind and courteous staff. Very informative with questions asked. Restaurant on site offered a variety of delicious choices. Great restaurant service. The hotel setting was very charming and peaceful. Family was able to get a quality sleep after an exhausting day of travel. "
"The house is wonderful. The beds were very comfortable, the showers were great too! It was a lovely touch that items for cleaning up (washing up liquid, sponges, kitchen cleaner etc.) were within the property. The only negative would be that the towels provided were only small ones, 1 per person and flannels. "
"The location was easy to find, and you're supposed to call a number on a sign for assistance. The number wasn't working, but I got the right one from someone at the bar. A friendly lady greeted me and offered to help with my bags. The room was a good size with a clean bed and bathroom. Toiletries aren't provided, but I always take my own, so for anyone who doesn't, please do. My only issue was the carpets weren't very clean, but thankfully I had slippers. After your stay, you just drop your key in a black box on the first floor. If there are any problems, you call the number provided, but fortunately, I didn't need it. Overall, I'd definitely stay again – had a pleasant sleep after a busy day at work."
