This was such a great place to stay for a weekend event in Southampton - easy to find parking nearby (Ocean Village), welcomed immediately by staff and room was a great size - we loved the decor throughout and excellent amenities all included in the room. Breakfast was delicious with a wide range available.

We had a one night stay and it was a perfect hotel for this. Check-in was seamless and a lovely room with en-suite facilities was plenty big enough with tea making facilities. Bed was very comfy. I ate in the evening and food was a good quality and staff really helpful. The following morning we asked if an extra person could join us for breakfast and were informed this was no problem and we discussed some food intolerances that they had and once again the staff were really helpful and able to provide detailed information. Excellent cooked breakfast with fruit and continental breakfast also available. Thoroughly recommend this hotel at such great value.

We had a comfortable stay. It was very convenient for the cruise terminal being just a short walk away. The rooms are decorated beautifully. However, our room was starting to look a bit tired. The sink was cracked and the carpet was starting to look a bit worn. Excellent shower and the bed was very comfortable. Lots of choice for breakfast in the morning, plenty of hot and cold items on offer.

We stayed at the White Star for only One night and throughly enjoyed it. Great location. Lovely rooms with a comfortable bed. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed a dinner & breakfast in the restaurant. Both delicious meals. Highly recommend this place.

This was a fabulous place to stay for 2 nights before my cruise. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Service was excellent and friendly. The breakfast was included and it was great! Highly recommend this place if you’re in Southampton!

The White Star is a lovely place with nice seating inside and out and a good range of beers. The staff were lovely and helpful. Food was good. Our room was a bit on the small side but clean and very comfortable. This review would have been 5 stars BUT Oxford St is a popular spot with lots of bars and restaurants and unfortunately the bar just across the street (10 yards away) played very loud music outside until 1.30am and our room was on that side of the White Star. Rather spoilt our trip and certainly made sleep difficult. Not the White Star’s fault, but apparently Fri and Sat nights can be noisy until late.

What a jewel on Oxford St. Wild about our room and the attention to detail used in the decor. Our welcome was personal and thorough. The location was ideal for the areas we wanted to see like the historic district.
