"Nice hotel. We loved the spa but it could use some updating. We lost power and water one one of our days here, which we had to get ready for a wedding that day, so that was a bit stressful, but the spa was open and had power and water so that was good. The rooms could use updating, but overall, weren’t bad. The restaurant was incredible, the food was truly the best we had on our entire trip in the UK. Overall, weren’t felt 4 starts was pretty spot on. The rooms were maybe more on the 3 stars side, but the restaurant and service bump it up."

"Top-of-the-line, elegant old world charm hotel with delicious food and agreeable, helpful and engaging staff. Large breakfast banquet. This is the place you want to be although if stairs is an issue you might be slightly challenged. There are elevators, but accessing some rooms and locations requires stairs. World class golf course. Immaculate, beautiful swimming pool. Various activities and a nature trail."

"As they say, you get what you pay for. We wanted a reasonably cheap hotel on the outskirts of Edinburgh. On arrival, a decent sized, well lit car park. Check in was quick and easy. Carpets throughout the building could certainly do with an upgrade as they were well worn very thread bare in areas. Bedroom - Lovely spacious room, with large bed and hot drink facilities. Thick curtains to keep the light out, well needed after a long day! Housekeeping knocked on at 09.30. All staff we spoke to were polite, check-in/out, housekeeping. Overall we had a pleasant stay. Dis not use the restaurant so could not comment on this."

"Der Empfang war liebevoll und herzlich. David ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft ist sehr gut ausgestattet uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Das Haus ist umgeben von Weiden auf denen die scottish highland Rinder umherlaufen. Auch Fasane, Feldhasen und einen Waldkauz haben wir auf den Weiden gesehen. Optimal für Naturfreunde und Familien mit Kindern. Uns hat einzig das ansonsten übliche WLAN gefehlt aber das hat auch etwas."
