"Great location - close to Waverly and a short walk to the main sights while being far enough away to be quiet. Plenty of bars and restaurants in the surrounding blocks as well as a Boots for any quick pick up needs. The hotel was beautiful, well equipped, and the staff were very helpful. We will definitely stay again if we are in Edinburgh."
"Bed was comfortable. Everything very clean. Took a few tries to get into the unit (didn’t know we had to lean extra heavily into door to open). Location was great. Within walking of everything we wanted to see. If we return to Edinburgh in the future we will check here first for our place to stay. "

"Great location it was busy due to the peak season"
"Our stay at CoDE Pod made the trip. The hostel was perfectly situated close to the main sites, and was a comfort to return to. Great food and bevies, friendly and enthusiastic staff, comfortable mattresses, and clean spaces. Highly recommend. "
"The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful but I felt the AC unit was automatically going higher every time I have to lower it so I can feel cool air .. other than that very much recommend for anyone who want to stay in Scotland... "
"We had a great stay here! We loved our room and the amenities in it. We also loved how close the hotel was to the city center and we were able to walk everywhere. We look forward to staying again in the future! "
"The hotel is in a great central location for walking. I woman at the front desk was just absolutely amazing. Friendly and helpful and a great sense of humor. Her name was Bee for short. The room was nice. The interesting part was the hotel is older and is not equipped with AC. They put portable AC units in the room and vent them thru the window. They also put an oscillating fan in the room as well. I was curious as to how this was going to play out. It went great. The room stayed cold. I mean cold not cool. We stayed in the summer months. The room was spacious, and bed was comfortable. So even with the window open slightly to allow venting from the AC we didn't get any street sounds up into the room. The area is quiet at night. No issues at all and they had black out curtains as well. "
"This was only a one night stay, partly for work, partly to celebrate my birthday. Check-in was excellent, very friendly, attentive & welcoming, a free upgrade was offered as it was my birthday & time was taken to personally show us around the hotel facilities. The reception, lobby, dining areas & Spa are beautifully decorated, there are so many staff, all of whom are highly trained & exceptionally helpful & friendly. On arrival to our room, a hand written birthday card & plate of chocolates & macarons had been left out for me, a very nice touch. Everything you’d want or need in a room was there, the bed was very comfortable, there was virtually no sound coming from anywhere, lovely shower & toiletries. My only gripe would be that the room was a bit drab & not decorated to anything like the same standard as the main areas of the hotel; also, we could not access the aircon panel, as it was obscured by the wardrobe, it was quite stuffy in our room overnight & you couldn’t open the window. We ate dinner at Aizle which was excellent and lunch at Baba which was delicious. Breakfast was a wee bit disappointing, there was a huge selection of things but they were rather ordinary & I would’ve expected a much more imaginative & out of the ordinary offering for £30 p/person from this standard of hotel - we had to send back a pain au chocolat as it was stale & hard. All in all though, our stay was lovely, the staff amazing & would highly recommend. "
