Pleasant stay but disappointed with the selection on offer for continental breakfast option. No bread rolls available only sweet pastries. Meat and cheese selection only available if requested but very minimal selection served. The hotel only served smoked bacon with cooked breakfast. Not a preference for everyone.

"Close to bus stops"
Enjoyable stay. Towels weren't changed after the first night. Comfortable bed. Tea coffee provided. Had to ask for toilet roll as not much left on one in room. Excellent breakfast friendly staff.

" would stay again"
The room is tired but clean. The shower cubicle in need of a spruce up & it would help to have a door to the bathroom that shut. However, lovely comfy bed. Work happening outside - decking & pipe work - so presume the loo will flush better once completed and there could be a little patio to sit out on. Nice enough continental breakfast but not quality. At least you can park outside & its a nice walk to shops, bars & restaurants.

"Excellent apartment but a little far from city ctr"
The apartment has on-site staff most of the time that one can easily ask for helps or information. The apartment is right in size with good facilities. We didn't use the washer/dryer and disc washing machine, however. Like many traveler's apartment in UK, it is self-help. You had to take care of the cleaning and trash, and no room cleaning was provided during your 4 days stay. Though it is a little far from city center, travel to the city center and attractions are very convenient by bus routes 35 and 1. Ask bus drivers for clear drop off and pick up stops for the places you want to go and carry your smart phone GPS to track your location in case you get lost. It was nice to have free parking. On the other hand, roads in Edinburgh were quite narrow and on left-hand drive. It is better to use public transportation if you're visiting from USA.

"Lots of charm and good location"
The hotel is beautiful, full of charm, and the staff is friendly. Our room didn't have a lot of space, but it had an updated bathroom and nice TV. It is on a fairly busy street but is surprisingly quiet inside. It's close to the buses and within walking distance of stores, restaurants, and groceries. And it's across the street from a large, lovely park.

"Better for travelers. "
Check in was easy & parking was adequate. The rooms are smaller than the photos suggest & it was quite cramped for 2 people staying multiple nights. (It would be fine for a business person or couple staying one night.) The breakfast was not the best Scottish breakfast we had during the 2 week trip, but it was adequate. Our air conditioner was broken as well. I would like to say that Magda was amazingly helpful & everything was sorted out!

"Nice hotel close to the park "
So, arrived and paid my bill, was given my keys and advised about breakfast times. Unfortunately I wasn't able to experience this due to an early start elsewhere. My room was just up one flight of stairs, nice room, plenty space, facilities, comfortable, nice view of the park. Walls were somewhat hollow and could hear next doors room but luckily the neighbours were no bother. Nice to have free wifi and very friendly staff who kindly kept some of my luggage while I went out.

    Pocket Guide: Edinburgh Leith Hotels

Once a seaport town, Leith was incorporated into Edinburgh in 1920 amidst controversy and maintains its own identity. Leith Walk connects the city with its primary port where the Water of Leith feeds into the Firth of Forth. Visitors can tour the Britannia, which for 44 years was the Royal Family’s private yacht. Golfers may want to stop at Leith Links where the rules of the game were devised in 1744.
