We were meant to stay at the hotel back in December but could make it up due to flooding in Carlisle. We rearranged to last weekend 23/24th January and we had a fantastic time. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous lovely high ceilings and really nicely decorated with a boutique feel. We stayed in room 3 right on the top floor, lovely clean bathroom and bed was really comfy it's the first time I've slept right the way through in months- but that may of been due to the alcohol! There must be a boiler or something just outside the room because in the morning kept making noises as I assume other guests were in and out of the shower. But as we were there for a weekend we were getting up early to get out and sight see was no issue to us. You could not fault the breakfast service as soon as we reached the bottom of the stairs we were greeted and seated, so much choice on the menu that even me a fussy eater was spoilt for choice. It's the little touches at the hotel that make it so nice to stay in the "honesty bar" is a lovely feature and the really friendly staff. It's a short walk from the centre of town where all the shops are roughly 20 mins and there's bars restaurants about 10 mins away open until 2/3 am so again your spoilt for choice. I would highly recommend and definitely be back!
Very comfortable and clean although could have done with sheets change atleast once during our 4 days stay. Facilities are great and staff is very friendly. Little far from town but easy access to local transport.
Oakhill Apartments, a name to remember when you are searching for Edinburgh luxury accommodation . Quiet and convenient are …More
Benefited from an upgrade on arrival. Excellent facilities within the apartment which was comfortably furnished. The floor to ceiling windows offered stunning views across the Firth and back towards the city.
The secure free underground parking was welcome. There are good reliable public transport links to the city centre but it is a 30 minute bus ride.
I was there on business and the apartment was excellent for holding a series of meetings.
Friendly helpful staff. Comfortable bed. Awesome rain shower. Clean. Only issue was the angle of the roof in the room going too close to the bed, leaving little space for a second person's head. I was alone ao could not care less.
For this price you will not get any better. This hotel is really good.
Once a seaport town, Leith was incorporated into Edinburgh in 1920 amidst controversy and maintains its own identity. Leith Walk connects the city with its primary port where the Water of Leith feeds into the Firth of Forth. Visitors can tour the Britannia, which for 44 years was the Royal Family’s private yacht. Golfers may want to stop at Leith Links where the rules of the game were devised in 1744.
