"This guest is a really lovely place to stay, 20 minute walk from Wavery train station, plenty of places to eat 5-10 mins walk away. The building itself is stunning and the continental breakfast is a bonus we weren’t expecting!"
"I couldn’t believe how beautiful this property is and the attention to detail was impeccable. Even the lounge area with cappuccino, latte, pastries, etc. were a pleasant surprise. It’s in the perfect location too, we walked everywhere without any problems."
"The location of this property is amazing. Literal steps from the Royal Mile and a fantastic pub right next door. Rooms worked well and were clean, and the kitchen provided essentials for anything you’d need. Definitely recommend! "
"We were obsessed with this hotel. It was so pretty and eclectic inside, great art and decor in the rooms. Staff was so nice and the breakfast was to die for. We did a very impromptu whisky tasting and learned a lot- it was better than the whisky tour we did earlier in the week. We were sad to go and can’t wait to visit again! "

Hilton Edinburgh Carlton
10/10 Excellent
"Stayed in August at the time of the Fringe, Tattoo, and Oasis Concert- so a very busy time with lots of street performers and tourists. From USA traveling with 2 teens and 2 adults.
The Good- warm greeting, helpful staff, super clean facility, wonderful expansive breakfast buffet (included), bath products available in room, fridge in room, location to royal mile and princes street. If you want a walkable visit- the location was fantastic and the streets really cleared out before 10 am or after about 9/10 pm- so it was nice to walk about then too- which was possible because of the proximity to the hotel.
The bad- scaffolding over building and north bridge construction was not a great fit for the beautiful city and made a crowded walkway extremely tight. It also made negotiating the street crossing a challenge. At one time they were down 2/3 lifts- but they had one fixed quickly (not even a full day). The lobby area is very small and there were people sitting with their luggage making it even tighter (at times). If you use the train or tram, you will have a 5-10 minute walk to and fro (not really bad- just FYI)"
"The whole place felt safe, and clean - I saw them cleaning like twice a day when I was there.
As an added bonus they do a great job facilitating and providing opportunities for solo-travelers to meet up with others"
"We enjoyed greatly our time at W. Very close to a mall, tons of dining options within walking distance. Sushisamba tasting menu was an excellent culinary experience. The 360 views from terrace of city are a must see. "
