"We loved staying in this hotel. Everything was new, clean, beds were very comfortable. Area was amazing, lots of food options, one block from the train. Would absolutely stay there again"
"Breakfast was very good with wide variety of buffet and ordered options. Haggis was a favorite for breakfast. Tram station is right next to hotel for easy transit theoughout Edinburgh. "
"Typical small British B&B, but not family run. Rooms smallish but very clean. They have been renovated and the beds are super confortable. The staff was very kind, but breakfast was not included. The area offers cafes and plenty of public transport. "
"Good location and not far from the city. Close to transport both tram and busses and close to waverley train station. Staff where friendly and any issues where delt with quickly. "

Fingal - A Luxury Floating Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We arrived quite early for our booking and yet, the staff were amazing and accommodated us in every way. They were so sweet, it felt like home away from home. The chef is a MASTER in culinary arts. The scenery and area are beautiful! If you get the chance to stay here, it is worth every cent!"
"Brilliant budget friendly stay. They was no breakfast service but we knew that before we came, and it didn't bother us. Tram stop not far. The only thing is that they did have free wi-fi but the signal was not that good.
Very clean"
"This was one of the most unique hotel experiences we have ever had, we loved it! The boat was beautifully renovated, the room was small but comfortable. We loved the outdoor seating and the bar/breakfast room areas."

"The hotel staff was very lovely when checking in. We had a good chat about being foreign travellers and they ended up letting us stay in the car park for free for 2 nights. Amazing kindness. We also upon check out forgot our shampoo and they kept it for us cause we were going to come back through on our way back to London. The hotel staff was very nice and our rooms were cleaned every day. Upon check in our sheets were not the cleanest and the staff promptly check our bedding and replaced it. I didn't mind changing the sheets myself as they didnt' have staff there that late which was fine. As long as I had clean sheets. Loved how close the train was to downtown. "
"Easy check in, clean and well kept accommodations. Friendly and inclusive staff. Nifty old building. Nice vibes throughout. Convenient location.
I stayed in a private room so cannot speak for the dorms, however, our room was satisfactory, cool and comfy.
I stayed only 1 quick night so wasn’t able to enjoy any activities besides sleeping, but they seem to have schedules of things going on in (or around?) the hostel.
Would recommend if you want to stay close to the city centre and want to be around other travellers. You can choose between shared dorm rooms or private rooms. "
"Excellent hotel with two on-site restaurants, easy access to the tram and bus routes, great staff, and an overall solid value for the money as spent. No need to be in the heart of the Royal Mile when you can stay here. I’d book again. "
Glimpse the life of royalty in the elegant rooms of what was once the Queen of England's personal cruise liner and Britain's ambassadorial ship overseas.
