Nestled within the wonderfully elegant and gated and Residencias Reef complex, this vacation oasis is literally steps away from the famed white sand and blue waters of the Caribbean, in an area known as San Francisco Beach.  
  
The one-bedroom, one-bath condo known as #7130 (okay, also known as Sandy Bottom--and no snickering, please!) offers a king-sized bed with luxurious, high thread-count linens, simply sublime down pillows, and walk-out patio in full view of the pool and beach. It’s an exquisite place to retire for the evening, with gentle ocean breezes flowing in and the nothing but the sound of the surf to lull you to sleep.  
  
The adjoining master bathroom is expertly designed and has a modern flair along with a walk-in shower; towels have been provided, but if you should run low on anything, no worries—maid service is included six days a week to keep your supply stocked and your vacation home fresh and clean.  
  
The living room, which boasts not one but two comfortable couches, is part of the open-concept design, so the kitchen is in full view and the chef is always part of the conversation.  
  
Casa Sandy Bottom's wide-screen satellite TV has a selection of English-language channels in the lineup, and Wi-Fi can be accessed throughout the home. Your hosts have even included Vonage phone service, so you can make no-cost calls locally and to the U.S. To ensure you are comfortable at all hours of the day, the condominium also has central air-conditioning.  
  
The kitchen is gorgeous, with granite countertops and high-end stainless steel appliances. It also has all those little must-have gadgets like a coffee maker, microwave, blender, and toaster. The adjoining dining room is beautifully decorated and has plenty of seating. You can also enjoy your meals and beverages on the private patio—there are recliners, chairs, and a cute table for your exclusive use. Purified water is also kept on the premises, as is a washer and dryer.  
  
Back to the beach—and this one’s a beauty. It’s among the most popular spots in all of Cozumel, and only residents and guests of Reef Residencias may use this particular stretch of palm- and palapa-lined beach.  
  
Wander down the pristine shoreline a bit where you’ll find plenty of places to grab a bite (many of these restaurants deliver) or have a drink. You’re also just a sandy stroll away from the pier where dive boats will pick you up for a little underwater fun.  
  
Right in your own front yard are not one but two freshwater pools, where comfortable lounge chairs, shady palapas and cool tropical breezes beckon you to kick back and relax. There’s also a jetted hot tub, SCUBA and snorkeling gear rinse tank, and outdoor shower at your disposal. It’s all surrounded by a manicured landscape of lush green lawns and tropical foliage.  
  
Among the many benefits of staying at Reef Residencias is you have access to the incredible rooftop observation deck. From here you have a bird’s eye view of the community and sparkling waters of the Caribbean—which become even more magical as the sun sets.  
  
When you’re ready to shake things up, head to the main street of downtown Cozumel, a 15-minute drive away.
