Me & my boyfriend visited Hotel Acta Madfor in May '15 & were extremely impressed by the hotels location, interior & facilities. The hotel was situated across the road from the Principe Pio station which made getting to the hotel from the airport & travelling around the city extremely easy - that said we hardly used the underground as the hotel was only a short walk to the centre & attractions which was ideal for us. There is a big supermarket next to the hotel, shopping centre across the road & bars & restaurants were in close proximity which was convenient . The hotel itself seemed newly decorated with a trendy yet cosy feel & the bedroom & bathroom were very clean. The beds were comfy & the room had blackout curtains - It was also peaceful at night which all combined made it very easy to get to sleep. The only negative point was that our room seemed to be near the cleaning cupboard & the door to this slammed shut a few times during the early morning which woke us up. There was free wifi throughout the building & the communal areas including the chill out room (which had sofas, computers, books etc in it) & roof top seating area were both nicely decorated & kept very tidy. The hotel had large lockers to store your luggage if required, which we thought was great as it meant you didn't have to wait to drop off/retrieve your luggage. The staff that we had interactions with all seemed friendly & helpful. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of food including hot foods, col
Have stayed at this hotel many times. Always it is nice, central and close to the Metro. Also it was close to Athletico Madrid's ground where I had decided to go to watch a match. Walking distance in fact. I will continue to use this hotel as it is reasonably priced, and continues to tick the boxes for me.

Recently stayed 8 nights at this hotel. Hotel staff was great and was able to check us in early, show us how to use lights and tv and available 24/7 even late at night when we couldn't remember the code for the safe. Has cafe attached with great food and coffee and is across the street from the metro and within walking distance to great shopping, food and sights. Rooms are not that big but we didn't spend much time in the room so perfect for our stay. Bathroom is nice with blow dryer and great pressure and hot water. Would stay here again.
Was very impressed. Great furnished and awesome designed spacious apartment. Nearest subway is Noviciado, Plaza Espana not so far too. Just one small things - sometimes was cold in rooms, may be you should avoid this property during cold season.
Close to the centre. Very near to metro and easy access to main places of interest. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Hostal very clean and well equipped. Not suitable for people who have mobility issues as there are a lot of stairs. Will return.
Nice rooms comfortable only extra I could ask for was a kettle.
Wireless speed test about 15mbs when I tried plenty enough like being at home.
Quite I thought considering it is on a very busy street.
Nice hotel close to everything, staff is very helpful Fernando and the manager Oscar are very customer friendly.
On my second night an alarm went on at a neighbor's place for almost three hours during the night but I think it's part of the game to have noise if you want to stay near the Center.

Having just returned from a 4 night stay in Madrid we would recommend the Tribunal aparthotel. It is within 100m of the metro with convenient connection to the Airport, and is within walking distance of the main museums, Gran Via and Plaza Mayor. Although basic, there are 3 lifts, the staff speak English and the room was quiet, clean with very comfortable beds. We would defintitely return there.

In the east, overlooked by the retro-looking silver transmission tower, the restful Parque del Oeste contains fir trees and students relaxing on the grass (thanks to the nearby universities). Catch a cable car across the Manzanares river to the Casa de Campo, or watch sunset from a terrace on lively Paseo del Pintor Rosales or the Templo del Debod. The bus station is a major hub for the north-west.
