Hotel is ultra stylish in its design and staff are really friendly. The bar during the week is very busy with a great atmosphere and the staff at breakfast could not have been more helpful. Our room was a big disappointment and it is with regret that we didn't pay to move to an upgraded room. You couldn't see out of the small window which was locked for security reasons and had an opaque covering, so consequently it was necessary to put all the lights on whenever you were in the room. I love minimalist hotels, but one cupboard would have been a welcome addition.
The apartment was beyond our expectations in cleanliness, safety, geographic situation, spacious, all kitchen utensils available, iron and board, hair blow drier, furniture, bed comfort, towels and linen, bathroom amenities, lighting, elevator and stairs. Walking distance to Mel's Burgers Rest.and other places to eat, La Gran Via, Plaza Mayor, Metro, Banks and Flamenco shows. H&M and El Corte Ingles stores walking distance too.
If you need anything and everything you have it nearby and if you don't, the reception will help you find it.
I hadn't made ANY reservations before leaving, so I just needed a room. With such a low price, I prepared myself for the worst (college backpacking days). I arrived early (around 10am). I recognized the outside by the picture on Expedia. I lugged my suitcase, bag and carry-on up 3 flights of stairs. The hallway is also no frills. There was no reception - just the person with the reservation book + the room wasn't going to be ready before 2pm, since it was still occupied. I started to worry, but thought I'd just cancel at the last minute if I was really not happy. So I walked around and made it back by around 1:30pm, the room was ready. I breathed a sigh of relief because the room was perfectly nice: a typical no-frills, but clean room. The shower is minuscule. Look beyond all of that and you get an excellent deal. I was there for 1 night. AC worked well, bed was comfy and clean. Happy customer.
