“Good Hotel - Dont expect a quiet lie in bed in the morning”
I know this area of Madrid very well and chose the hotel based on its location. On checking in I asked for a room at the rear of the hotel, away from the noise from the Gran Via. What I didn't want after an evening of sampling Madrid night-life was to be woken every morning at 8am by the cleaners shouting to one another and hoovering the halls - this happened every morning so was not an isolated case. Be warned the breakfast is expensive at €20 each, we used one of the local bars for our morning coffee and pastry. Having said that I would recommend this hotel for its price and location and would stay there again for business but not if I was going to party and wanted a lie in!!!!
“Good hotel We will come back”
They didn't notified me the messages. Rest OK
“Perfect location”
We had a great weekend. Lovely hotel. Staff were very helpful. Ideally situated for seeing the sights - less than 50 metres to the nearest metro station (which is clean, cheap & easy to use). Loads of good cafes & restaurants within the immediate area. Recommended.
“Perfect location”
All staff were curtious.
“Excellent hotel in the centre of Madrid”
Perfect location. Very friendly staff who spoke English and helped us with a concert booking. Wonderful roof top pool and facilities for when Madrid weather got too hot!
“Great central location - Pool is the jewel during hot summer”
We did not eat in the hotel, but used it as a central base for a four night stay. The pool area was great for a wind down from a day of sightseeing and going out for a late dinner. It is an oasis in the hot summer. Room was fine, better than anticipated. We were at the front corner overlooking the road, but double glazing meant no disturbance from traffic noise. Highly recommend this hotel for a long weekend.
“Very good hotel”
Good Hotel, but the Tv system need upgrade for more chanels. Also, the Rooms need to be more cool with Air Conditioner thermostat in low position.
“Perfect Location”
Based on the price paid, I was expecting a better buffet breakfast. Choices of fruits, cheeses and cold cuts was good, but choices of breads and eggs prepared to your taste was poor.
“Good solution for short stay”
We stayed for 1 day in MAdrid was a good selestion. Good service and the infrast4ructure is according with the price good.
“a good value”
although the hotel is quite old they have tried to maintain it updated. the furniture is old and the rooms could use a bit of updating ( the bathrooms were all updated thank goodness and in very good shape) but it was generally very clean and the staff was very nice. the buffet breakfast was very good and the location, although a bit noisy, was not bad. i think if i were going back i might consider a bit of a different location. however if you want to be in the heart of everything this is a great place. generally i would recommend this hotel for the first timer in madrid because of its location and service.
