"We have just returned from a really lovely two night stay at the Wellington. The whole weekend from start to finish was very special and made even better by the staff. Particular mention must go to Ellie who managed a problem for us that was our fault but she went above and beyond to help us work it out. Callum is an absolute ray of sunshine, please don’t ever lose your sparkle and a big thank you to Isaac who carried on in Ellie‘s absence continuing to resolve our problem with great efficiency. All of the waiting staff were a credit to the hotel. We ate in the restaurant for dinner on the first night and enjoyed the breakfast in the mornings. All the food was delicious and we really couldn’t fault any aspect of our meals so congratulations to the kitchen and the chef. The rooms are beautifully and thoughtfully designed and our only issue was one which can’t be avoided and that was the fact that the road outside tends to be quite busy but it does quieten down during the hours when you would be wanting to sleep. We have been looking at the events at the nearby Hatfield House and would happily consider staying again if we fancy attending any of them. Thank you again to everyone at the Wellington. You really did make our stay very special."
