"Good Hotel"
The hotel is in a great location, it's only 2 blocks from union square and very close to the shopping district. The area is the only negative aspect, since it's in the tenderloin district. My advise is when you leave your hotel just make a right and never go left and you will be ok. Other than that the staff is excellent and free coffee in the morning is a plus.

"Was expecting more"
I stayed at king george for 3 nights and 4 days. No continental breakfast which is pretty much standard these days even for 2 star hotels. Rooms are small and I dont think the bed was queen size as described for the room I got. I have a queen bed at home and the bed at king george was noticeably smaller. I would look for other accomodations next time I went to san francisco

"Great Location!"
Clean and convenient. Extremely small room but efficient, good breakfast included.Great location next to Union Square! Bar with a live band on the second floor if that's your thing. The hot water for the shower was not very hot, but warm enough to take a shower. We were told they'd look into it, but nothing changed during our 5 night stay. Overall a clean efficient hotel, but quite pricey for what you get, but then again, this is San Francisco where hotels are quite expensive! Of course the cdn / Us exchange rate didn't help. Overall a nice experience.

"Nice old hotel great location"
Overall great experience from check in thru check out. I liked that the windows opened but my room on the 5th floor was a little noisy with the window open. no AC, ceiling fan worked well

"Nice hotel but I opted not to stay again. "
I paid for a spa room which was huge and the spa tub did work. I have to say, though, that while I slept like a log a small thing disappointed me and made me feel like a second class guest. The coffee table in the room was in horrible shape - beat up and incongruent with the decor. Sounds trivial, but I ended up not booking there for a second weekend.

"Central, convenient location"
A very central and convenient location in the middle of China town with loads of resturants. A fun atmosphere and a close 20-min walk to Pier 33 for our Alcatraz Cruise (even with our young children.) Helpful staff and very helpful parking attendant downstairs. Recommended.

"In the middle of the hustle and bustle"
quaint hotel with modern touches. the staff was very friendly and helpful with any inquiries of the city. Starbucks located next to the lobby. many eateries within seconds. Definitely for the price I would stay here... I didnt have my toddler so it suited my needs.

"Clean facilities, noisy streets"
Other than the street noise, everything was satisfactory. Had to be careful walking around at night in that area though. Hotel is clean, staff is accommodating. I think the street noise comes from the little air vent opening they have on the windows. The air vent can be closed, but it's not sealed tight so the noise still comes through, no matter how high up you are.

"Nice hotel very close to everything"
We stayed this past weekend at the Hilton Union Square. It was pretty awesome! It was located within 2-3 blocks of all the tourist areas and very close to a trolley stop. The front desk staff and door staff were amazing and made getting help so easy. The only drawback is the room had poor ventilation in the bathroom, which left the room very steamy. But other than that we loved it and would stay here again!
