Great stay, room on smaller side compared to a typical hotel room but I had no need for a larger space and location is great for downtown San Francisco

"Nice hotel. Great staff."
Overprice menu for breakfast though: $10 for half a graoefruit. Had dinner there. Food was good and not so overpriced as breakfast. Staff was very nice and helpful, especially the front desk.

"Very nice place"
The hotel was very nice, and from what I saw very well kept up. Inside our room everything was clean and organized except for an aged layer of dust on the makeup mirror and a very questionable stain on the bench art the foot of the bed. Booking two separate nights through Expedia made things a hassle and I ain't be skiing it again unless there are substantial savings because it took three phone calls to get things sorted correctly. All in all a hotel we will be returning to.

"Quaint, Clean, and Convenient"
If you want a huge hotel with tons of people this is not your place. This hotel is small without some of the amenities of a larger hotel but the trade off was a very nice updated extremely clean room. The location is very convenient and adding to the convenience is the continental breakfast and evening snacks and beverages. The best touch though was the late evening fresh baked warm cookies and the gentleman that baked them. Perfect way to end the day!

"Nice hotel in Union Square, but small accommodatis"
This hotel is conveniently located in Union Square, just around the block from the trolley stop. There are many restaurants and activities within walking distance. Chinatown was about a 10 minute walk away--very convenient for sight seeing. The staff were friendly, and the urban amenities package for VIP Expedia customers was a welcome surprise. However, the room was rather small and the bathroom had incredibly limited storage space. The sink is a pedestal style, which results in having almost no room to place your things. Continental breakfast includes a bagged meal of a fresh fruit item, granola, a packaged pastry, and a juice. All in all, the stay was nice. I expected a little better amenities, in consideration of the price. However, for San Francisco, the price was fair and the location was outstanding.

"Nice Hotel within walking distance of Union Square"
This is an excellent, but not inexpensive, place to stay close to Union Square. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. The only negative was the occasional banging, thumping noise during the night. The reason we believe is that our room was beside both the elevator and what looked like a "dumb waiter" door, probably a laundry chute. Two other couples, traveling with us, who had booked directly with the hotel, had no such issues, and we believe, that once again, we were given one of the "Expedia rooms". Unfortunately, in our many travels, we have found that when we book through Expedia, we of get one of the least desirable rooms or, at best, the room one would not select if given the choice. We are generally beside the elevator, ice machine or by the back door. Yes we save a little by booking through Expedia, but booking directly always gets us a better room. This happens much too often to be just a coincidence.

"Spunky Hotel in the heart of SF"
We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Triton. It was my husband's 30th birthday so they gave him a special birthday drink when we arrived. Overall, the hotel was clean and cozy. Given the price and location, I think it's a great deal. Unfortunately, there was a St. Patrick's Day block party in the alley next to the hotel. It was extremely loud (like windows-vibrating loud) but stopped right at midnight. Our friends who joined us had some issues with service. For instance room service never showed up with coffee, the toilet wasn't flushing so they handed my friend a plunger and politely told him to fix it, they were given grief when they requested a room further away from the St. Patrick's Day party, etc.

"Nice hotel on a great location"
This hotel is very well located in the heart of Union Square with easy access to public transportation, shopping centers and dinning options. At the time of our stay the restaurant was being remodeled so I guess that was the only drawback. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was quiet and clean. Perfect option for those seeking convenience.
