The Hotel Whitcomb is an older hotel so good if you are into retro and a historic feel. The room was serviceable no fridge, the curtains didn`t close, but it had a comfortable bed, good TV and shower, and a safe. Not a great family location.

Weekend stay in Nepal Suite. Friendly staff. Great location.
Olde worlde and charming, few mins walk to fishermans quay. Just one block from cable car directly into union square, buy 1 or 3 day visitors pas and use as often as you like. Rooms are small and bathrooms shared but they make it up to you with lovely little touches ... especially liked the massage ...

The Mark Hopkins is my favorite hotel. Pure Class.
The Hotel Majestic is a beautifully restored hotel. Family run by some of the nicest people you will ever meet, a comfortable room with amazing history.
Excellent location. Very close to shops and stones throw away from Union Square.
