"The hotel is a bit old. It's great if you're looking to stay in a property with a historical aspect. Check-in was troubling. I don't recall on the Hotel's description here on Expedia or on their own website that the deposit was $400 up front. I stayed for 6 days so that should have been around $170. "Check in and check out was a breeze and the valet was also quick and efficient. Our room was large and wonderful. The view from our large balcony was perfect. The shower was nice and relaxing and the room set up was great. We love this hotel in downtown SD due to its proximity to Petco Park, the convention center, restaurants, the water, and the train."

"This place was amazing great location! Only downside was the parking garage, already narrow parking garage, coupled with big cars parking in the compact spots and on level three they are using part of the row for storage so you have to squeeze in. Other than that great stay but be mindful if you have a bigger vehicle when parking."

"The property was well maintained and cute. With a simple walk to downtown Disney it was really convenient. The complimentary shuttle to the parks was great, especially after a long day of waking in the parks. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the room was looking rather tired and in need of renovation. The only overhead lighting was in the bathroom and entry, any lighting in the main room was provided by lamps (so many lamps). The sheer curtain had a huge hole in it, the rewired lamp(s) power cords made me rather uncomfortable. And it appeared that the mechanism to hide power cords had been detached by previous guests (at some point in time) and had not been reattached. The staff we did interact with were friendly and helpful! I would definitely give this hotel another try!"

"We always enjoy our stay as we have booked several times due to the incredible views of the bay and able to walk around the property and enjoying the property and surrounding sites. However there seems to be a lack of service at the restaurant where we have to wait for our check and see employees hovering around the hostess sound. Management should be more visible and visit tables and such."
