Nice hotel conveniently located in downtown San Fran. A stone's throw to all the major shopping labels. Close to public transport. Overall, a pleasant hotel but downsides are the mandatory "resort fee" ($25 per night) which you have to pay even if you don't want to avail of the facilities such as internet, gym etc. We ended up paying $100 for 4 nights for facilities we essentially didn't need. We were also placed in a room at the corner hence views were not great but it was quieter at night.
Location is great. Room was very clean. Could hear conversations from guests in another room. Thought it was nice for hotel to provide earplugs knowing that it is not quiet. If can get a discounted rate, then it is worth it given the great location.
We had a fantastic stay at the Pickwick. The Hotel is old, but the beds were comfy and room was always very clean. The lift was a bit slow, we were on the 6th floor so walked down every morning rather than wait for the lift. The staff were very friendly and offered to print maps etc for us. Best part about this hotel was the bar next door. Happy Hour from 5-8pm EVERYDAY. The food was great and so cheap and the bar staff were excellent
This is probably our 6th time staying at the palace, and there's a reason we keep coming back.
The rooms have been renovated and they have combined old with new, trendy with classical. The bed and bedding are amazing, we had dinner reservations but didn't want to go out.
We love staying at the palace.
Nice location. Was walking distance to a lot of restaurants and AT&T park. Hotel ran a little warm, but get in your room and crank the AC. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The bar and grill downstairs was great and somewhat reasonable on price. The fire pit patio was very relaxing while drinking a glass of wine. This was the 2nd time we stayed here cause we like it so much.
