The staff and location of Alaya is what makes this property an amazing stay. Stefan from the front desk was very friendly and helpful. the area is very nice, right in the center of everything which is awesome however the room has very poor Air conditioner system, it didn't work that well in my room and they only turn on between 8pm to 8am, imagining how hot the weather is in Tulum....we also booked an ocean view room and our room view got blocked by a big tree, couldn't see any view which was very disappointed but when we requested to change the room, first they said they will check and tried their best however nothing was done, 2 nights later I checked back with them again, they said they will cut the tree, however, they only cut a few top branches, which still blocked our view... so reaqlly disappointing.

Our AC in all our rooms are available 24 hours, but just under request, I apologize if in some moment you feel that we were not clear in mention our environmental policies. Related to your room category, I had the pleasure to assist you the day that you notify us. Immediately I took action and we chop the upper part of the tree, As I mentioned before, due to our environmental commitment to preserve the flora and fauna of the place, it is forbidden to cut any tree. The preservation of the nature is one of our core values. As part of the misunderstanding and the little inconvenience with the tree we gave you credit for F&B. The category is Ocean view as the name said, it is possible to see and feel the breeze of the sea, we did everything to make sure you enjoy the ocean view. Daily our team get motivated to provide a top quality service. As you know Alaya Tulum is surrounded by wild nature, for us the satisfaction of our guests is the most important.Please let us apologize if in some point you feel that the place, experience and service were below your expectations. The Alaya Tulum lived up to all of our expectations. Intimate, quiet, while still giving you that "resort" feeling. The service was perfect in every way. Gaby was especially wonderful, as was the main dining room manager during our stay. All of the staff are so friendly and helpful, we cannot say enough good things about them all. Access to the beach is immediate, comfortable, and had everything we could have wanted. The care they take in keeping their grounds top notch is impressive, it is simply beautiful!!! The food from their dining room was top notch as far as my wife and I were concerned, and access to other great food vendors and a great bar (say hi to Salvador), were just steps away, with tons of choices, good music, and friendly people. The room we had was very nice. Large shower, decent sized bathroom, nice wardrobe and drawers, and the bedroom was good sized with a very comfortable mattress and pillows. With a very nice porch to relax on with beautiful views, that the staff delivered coffee and tea to every morning for a great start to our day. I could go on forever, but to finish, I really have no negative comments to offer. Enjoy!

Amazing place! Highly recommend. We visited with our two young kids and booked the big house on the beach. It was gorgeous and the staff was incredible.

Amazing hotel. Amazing location, private beach. Nice big rooms with comfortable bed. We didn’t have tv in the room which wasn’t a problem. Morning yoga and plenty of trips which can be arranged at the reception. Staff were friendly and very helpful.
