We were a bit worried when we arrived that the area outside the hotel was crazy busy and full of loud cars, bikes and music… but we had read a top tip to request a courtyard room and so actually our room was super quiet and relaxing and a nice break from the chaos of fisherman’s wharf.
Restaurant breakfast was delicious but there’s also a latam coffee shop on the corner of the block directly behind the hotel who do amazing pastries.

What a great location only a few minutes drive from Golden Gate Bridge and on bus route 28 into Fisherman’s Wharf. We had a courtyard room which, although it was cosy, was all we needed for a couple of nights in San Francisco. The bed was really comfortable and the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Being able to park our car on site and not worry about it being safe was a bonus.
We would highly recommend this quirky hotel with a friendly welcome. We’d happily stay again.

When is the best time to go to San Francisco?
The best time to visit San Francisco is during the autumn months, specifically September and October.
During these months, the city typically experiences its warmest and sunniest weather. The famous San Francisco fog often recedes, giving way to clear skies and pleasant temperatures, making it ideal for exploring on foot or enjoying outdoor activities.
This period is particularly good for couples looking for a romantic getaway. The comfortable weather allows for leisurely strolls through Golden Gate Park, picnics with views of the Golden Gate Bridge, and evenings spent dining al fresco in areas like the Mission District or North Beach. You'll find it's a lovely time for scenic drives along the coast without the usual chill.
Solo travellers will also appreciate the autumn months. The agreeable weather makes it easy to navigate the city's hills and explore its many distinct neighbourhoods. You can comfortably visit Alcatraz, take a ferry to Sausalito, or simply enjoy a coffee outdoors at a café in the Castro without needing a heavy coat.
