"Lack of sockets in room - otherwise perfect! "

"I had originally booked a single room aswas travelling for the London Marathon. I contacted the hotel through Expedia, and they told me I could upgrade for an extra payment which we confirmed. When we arrived the reception had no idea what I was talking about and said they were fully booked. I showed the confirmation and we were provided what was described as a compact double room.It was tiny. When we asked for a bigger bed, I was told this would not be possible. I asked for a single matress to be put on the floor, this was also rejected and I had to pay the additional charge regardless. Really disappointed and took the shine off what waa supposed to be a great weekend running the marathon."

"Amazing location. Tiny rooms and bathroom, but perfectly functional and a good value. TV didn’t work. Can hear tube, but that was part of the fun for us. Two minute walk to Paddington station was great. Lots of local restaurants. Close walk to Hyde Park. Would stay again."

"This is an excellent property right next to Paddington Station. Very convenient for Heathrow express. The hotel was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. However, only tea in the room is no coffee, but there is a Starbucks just off the lobby, which was perfect."

"A very old (roughly 150 yr-old) ‘classic Victorian’ hotel with small rooms, but newly renovated bathroom, big TVs, and good beds. The cleaning staff were always there to make up and replenish your room."
