Enjoyed our stay. Comfy, quirky rooms, really nice vibe to the whole place. Good location - 15 minute walk from the Alster and Rathaus, and right by the Überseequartier underground station. Didn't eat in the restaurant, but the atmosphere was good. Only annoyances were lack of coffee facilities in room and expensive per-person rates for breakfast. There's apparently a 'grab and go' option during the week - why not at the weekend too? Anyway - that's easily swerved by heading round the corner to the excellent Lieblingsplatz bakery / coffee shop (highly recommended).
Everyone was very friendly, the room was very cozy and cute, the breakfast buffet was fabulous and the location was quite excellent as a place to explore several different neighborhoods from a central location. Thanks!
We enjoyed efficient and polite interaction with all staff members. The Expedia "VIP" benefits were immediately made clear to us - including room udgrade, late check-out and various discounts :-)
Overall an enjoysble and problem free experience.
"Really nice hotel close to the best shopping areas"
The hotel is in a quiet side street only 100 yards from the nearest tube station
Staff were really friendly & efficient
Room was really nice a lot larger than most hotels the room was also very clean & had a excellent shower . Hotel bar was good but a bit expensive . We didn't eat in the restaurant but it looked really nice & was pretty busy . The only negative was the Spa the pool & jacuzzi were both cold & we were really disappointed with that as we had booked the hotel because it was central & had a spa .We rarely used the spa mainly due to the cold jacuzzi .Overall hotel was really nice & Hamburg was amazing lovely parks great shopping & amazing bars all within 2 mins of the hotel
Great check in very helpful in information about getting about nice upgrade when we got there and one of the staff appeared with a nice bottle of red at my room door for my birthday execelent gesture will definitely go back to an adina hotel very good hotel restaurant can't fault anything about hotel
Overall, a very nice experience:
Nice room with both modern as well as comforting atmosphere.
Option to enjoy the breakfast buffet outside at tables overlooking the canal.
Pleasant bar with good cocktails.
Set on the inner Alster Lake, Hamburg's centre is 1 km from the harbour and the developing warehouse district, HafenCity. Shopping is centred on Mönckebergstrasse and Neuer Wall. Towers dominate, including the huge city hall and the churches of St Peter, St Jacob, St Nikolai and St Michael. Art exhibitions can be found at the Kunsthalle, the Bucerius Forum and the Deichtorhallen.
