"I loved our one night here. It was a stop off on the way further south but I wish we could have stayed longer. So peaceful. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay happen, even when we arrived late. We ate our breakfast outside in the courtyard which was idyllic. The food was gorgeous. We shopped in the farm shop afterwards and bought more than we needed as it all looked (and was) so good. A really lovely stay. Wished we could have stayed longer. Really ovely room. Comfortable bed."

"On arrival we were greeted by the 2 staff on duty and after a short wait (because we arrived early and a room change) we were shown to the room and the breakfast was explained to us as was the after hours procedure. All staff we met were very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was very good, lovely to be able to sit outside and enjoy the early morning sun. It was also nice to be able to sit outside in the evening The room was clean and we had a fan to help try and keep the room cool during the heatwave. The bed was comfortable and not at all like some hotel beds where you both roll to the middle if one moves. The floor creaked a lot, but hey, the building is centuries old. Lovely to have the mahoosive bath, and right by the window. Our dog enjoyed the attention of staff of which he got quite a lot. He was given a sausage for breakfast but showed no interest in it, which was his misfortune. The hotel is ideally sited in the centre of town for anything and is ideal for local shops etc."

"Excellent location: quiet and convenient for Longleat. Spacious room with mini fridge that had juice, water and fresh milk, much appreciated! Comfortable bed and really big. Nice bathroom with all you need, even cotton buds! Excellent shower. Delicious breakfast, full English cooked to order. Really nice pub with delicious food, especially the pork bap. Definitely recommend. Negatives: Room not very clean, lots of dust everywhere that clearly had not been cleaned for a while; that was disappointing. TV signal rubbish so could not watched much. Despite the negatives, I would stay again though."

"Good Parking. Good size clean room with nice linen and fresh towels. Had a Tai evening meal in tne resturant which was very enjoyable. The court hard area was also very nice to use. I was a little taken aback by the £7.40 charge at the bar for a pint of Guinness so we elected to drink else where locally instead."
