We were given the worst rooms on arrival at the very back of the hotel and took ages to get there as had to take two lifts and walk along various corridors to reach the rooms. Felt like staff quarters and room hadn’t been used for ages so was dark and musty. Receptionist was taken aback when I said the room was awful and wanted another and she said the hotel was fully booked and then somehow managed to find me two better rooms in the main hotel. She Could have done this from the outset so my only complaint is the French female receptionist
We stayed here as an overnight whilst attending a concert at Ashton Gate. The hotel was brand new and deceptively big. The room was a lovely size and the bathroom very modern. Breakfast was delicious but advise to get there early when everything is fresh. The staff were helpful and showed us how to get the bus to the ground. We walked back and Bristol was lovely at night!
