"Staff really makes this property. Clean and the perfect location for everything. Food is average at best and extremely costly. Breakfast options are poor and it is difficult to get a coffee at any time. The biggest down side is the noise. Dont expect to get much sleep staying here. Most nights it goes until 0330 and we had a street shut down that went until 0500. "

"Excellent trip from start to finish. We arrived early, but the rooms were already ready. And we got a fantastic upgrade! The concierge helped us plan out our sightseeing for the following day, as well as made a great dinner recommendation and reservation. Drinks and food at Peacock Alley and the Caley bar were excellent. The service was wonderful - I wish I could remember all the staffs’ name who assisted us. Thanks for an excellent stay! "

"The property was very spacious and clean with comfortable beds and good utilities (dishwasher, washer/dryer, oven, fridge, freezer). Most necessary items were provided although it would have been nice to have some surface cleaning spray and more washing up liquid and toilet paper. Very nice bathroom and shower, although it took a while for the water pressure to get high enough and the heating was quite fiddly to get to the right temperature. "We had a lovely stay. Great to have the two bedrooms and living space. All of Edinburgh was very walkable and the people were so friendly and welcoming."

"Easy walk home down slope from city center. Perfect place for Uber drop off and pick up. Comfy bed, and seating. Kitchen had enough. Temp easy to regulate. Hop on off bus stop right out front along with city bus. Super safe for a single woman or lbgtq even at night. Nice views from apt. Lots to do w/I a one block radius. No lift may be an issue for some. But overall great location and stay! "

"I have stayed at this hostel many times but always before with other people-= so it was especially great to have a room to myself - with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The buffet breakfast was good and coffee was too .The last time i stayed the road outside was being converted for the tram lines-but now that the tram runs almost to the door from Waverley station and the airport it is excellent. The room was clean modern and a lot better than the hotel I stayed in for the rest...

"Excellent refurb. Not stayed for many years but a vast difference from the Golf Inn days. Only point might be its a bit pricey in the Stables restaurant.. Also need stronger coffee in the mornings - stick an extra spoon in the pot please!"
