We stayed in Room 6 at Murrayfield House, just a few doors down from the hotel. The room was fabulous, with all the amenities we expected and many more we didn't. Simply stunning.
Although it is located on busy Corstorphine Road, we found the location perfect. Buses to Edinburgh city centre and the airport are frequent and literally outside the door. We had a rental car and found driving to the hotel from the north and making our way to the airport when leaving, easy.
We had dinner at the hotel's dining room one night and it was delicious. A great stay.
We stayed here for 2 nights. Shaun, one of the owners is possibly the friendliest host I've ever met. Nothing was too much trouble for him. We were even welcomed with a coffee on arrival. The guest house itself was lovely. The room was clean and the bed was very comfy. Breakfast was lovely and filling too. It was a nice 25 minute stroll into the city centre, although there is a bus that runs regularly from the end of the street. We would definitely recommend this as a place to stay if you're looking for a nice place to stay with easy access to the city.

Very happy with my experience at The Beverley. Judy and Hutch were very accommodating and always happy to help. Spotless rooms and facilities, handy to supermarkets, restaurants and public transport. Great breakfasts too! I will definitely stay here again when I'm back in Edinburgh next year. Highly recommended.

Staff couldn't be more friendly and welcoming, gave us extra heaters as our room was a wee bit cold, nice cooked breakfast in the morning, complimentary late check out as it was New Year's Day, great location with the zoo and Murrayfield a stone's throw away, would recommend to an older couple.

We wanted to be close to Murrayfield Stadium for the Rugby and this guesthouse is a few minutes walk. Room was clean, staff very polite and helpful. Rooms were overpriced but this was the same in every hotel over 6 Nations period. Not much parking space - only room for 3 or 4 cars.
Room was very spacious. Has a separate living room bathroom and bedroom. Living room had a TV, work desk and chair, mini fridge, kettle with assorted tea, coffee and 2 sofas. Bedroom had a TV, iron and ironing board. The only disappointing and major factor for me was that for the 3 nights I was there, my room was not serviced. The first day after getting in after a long day, I called for towels and water which they brought up within 3 minutes. The next day same thing no service so once again had to call for towels and other amenities which this time took a lite longer. Very disappointing. Front desk staff however was very helpful with directions. Restaurant is just ok. Food a bit bland at dinner. Hotel itself was a bit out of the way for me. Would I stay at a holiday inn again. Absolutely. Would I stay at this particular one again. NO.
Brilliant location as near city and airport. Lovely house with space for parking. Very approachable and friendly couple own this house and provide a hot cooked breakfast. They even provided me with earl grey tea! The rooms are spacious and shower facilities were great. No hand towels in the room but I expect that had I asked I would have been provided that too. The family room accommodated our daughter so was ideal.
Murrayfield is best known as the home of Murrayfield Stadium and the Scottish Rugby Union. The area is an affluent region of Edinburgh and the highly sought after Easter Belmont Road lies adjacent to Murrayfield Golf Course. Visitors can take advantage of the area's location near Edinburgh Zoo and the central Haymarket train station.
