"Good hotel, good location"
I loved the location of this hotel, it was in a beautiful part of the city. The hotel itself was pretty nice, the rooms were very small (I would definitely not advise having two people in a room!) and I was very turned off by the fact that nothing was included in the room. Luckily booking through expedia I got a deal on towels/internet/hairdryer, but always make sure these things are included when booking!

Close to town, on bus routes if your feet give out, good breakfast but paid extra, better if b&b, staff very friendly.

"Good stay in Edinburgh"
Stayed for two nights at the start of a driving holiday through Scotland. Good base as transport by bus in to the centre of Edinburgh was right outside the hotel and so reasonable at £4.00 for a day ticket. Much better than driving in and the expense of parking. Hotel had good facilities, but we not equipped to partake of them. We did not eat in the hotel, so cannot comment. Free Car parking a big bonus, even if spaces not always either easy to find or near where you might want to be.

"A little old, but convenient"
The hotel was near the EICC. It was near a Tesco too. It was convenient for us as we had to go to the EICC during our stay. The hotel looked pretty old, being in an old building and all. The staff was very kind and accommodating. They let us leave our baggage prior to check in as we had other things to attend to before the check in time. The room was relatively clean. I had some issues with the carpet as I felt like it was a little stuffy and it bothered me since I have rhinitis. However, I was still able to sleep comfortably. The bathroom was a little small but usable and clean nonetheless. Their lounge is open 24/7 but it is self service. It's located on the ground floor. You just have to list down whatever you get on a sheet of paper. It's quite convenient since you can have a drink whenever you want. The lounge was very cozy. Overall, I had a good stay.

"Excellent location for both Old Town and New Town."
Perfect spot. Close to absolutely everything. Walkable from both the train and bus station. Front desk staff every helpful and friendly. Only down side, wifi does not work below the ground floor. Good access from the lobby. I would stay here again.

"Nice hotel with good transport links to the city"
In general the hotel was good, comfy bed , nice breakfast and pleasant stay . However due to a wedding taking place on the night we checked in , this made to a rather noisy nights sleep. Which is fine if you don't have to get up early for work the following day. We were told we had the 'quiet room' which was at the back of the hotel, which was not quiet and unfortunately we couldn't open the window due to smokers outside . It would have been nice to know this prior to booking the room .
