The hotel is in a quiet street but still not far from the main Princess Street or the beautiful area of Deans Village. It’s a fabulous old-world hotel with big wooden staircases and very well-appointed rooms and bathrooms. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. We would certainly recommend it for a visit to Edinburgh.
The Hotel’s staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the Hotel charming and stately. The location in the West End was also a plus. Very quiet and peaceful but yet an easy 10 minute walk to the old part of the city where many sights are as well as very close to Dean Village with a farther and fun walking path to the Botanic Gardens. Would much prefer staying here versus the very busy Royal Mile section of the old town as this is a peaceful respite from a busy day of sightseeing. At the end of our day we would always come back to the Hotel to enjoy a glass of wine and have a delicious dinner which I think adds value as well to have these amenities on sight. Highly recommend the Bonham Hotel.
The hotel is spotless. Staff is beyond friendly and most helpful. Everyone! We came back to find our luggage had been delivered to our room when it was ready and when we opened the door, they even had music playing with little cookies on the bed. It was a lovely stay and the dinner and breakfast were both superb.
What a lovely hotel within walking distance of the centre. Rooms were lovely and very well equipped breakfast beautiful. Staff really friendly and such a lovely Edinburgh property
This was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed. I loved the chandeliers and the overall ambiance. The staff were incredibly friendly and offered excellent recommendations for food and places to visit.
The hotel is beautiful and appointed super well. The beds are very comfortable. Wonderful woodwork on the walls and the most beautiful bar. Would highly recommend this anybody wanting a 4 to 5 star hotel. Really could be a five.
This is my second stay at The Bonham. It is truly the most magical hotel. The staff are so welcoming and attentive to all of your needs. The hotel itself is immaculate and perfectly appointed with a wonderful cozy bar and restaurant. We highly recommend adding the breakfast and High Tea to your stay. My husband and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Edinburgh and can't wait to go back.
Excellent stay at this wonderful hotel in January.
We found everything to be first rate - cleanliness, standard of service, quality of the food and beverages, ambience and appointment of the room.
Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
Bright, beautiful room. Lovely art and decor. The staff were very attentive and courteous. Even though we were in the city, very quiet at night. We will stay here again.
I would recommend the Bonham Hotel to anyone liking a "boutique hotel" with old world charm, an all wood "turn of the century" home with all the convienences and wonderful hosts. The restaurant to the Hotel is excellent, not only the breakfast but dinner is superb. (minus the veggie burger) The location is not far from the major sights. They have a sitting room, where we saw a small wedding one afternoon, and a wonderful large lobby looking out onto the street and gardens. I loved walking to coffee or my fav restaurant "the West Room" . Francesco was helpful and an asset to this wonderful lodging. I was alone and felt very welcome
