Not as expected!
The hotel was supposed to be in a central location but it was 12 minutes walk to the shops and then a further 12 minutes walk to the bars, so it was too much effort to go out for a beer and something to eat on Saturday night. In cold weather conditions, you really needed to take a taxi everywhere. It was deadly quiet too with no atmosphere. In fact, it was more akin to a gentleman's club, rather than a hotel. But in saying that, the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms and bathrooms are very large and very clean, so if you are looking for a quiet hotel, well off the main thoroughfare, it would ideal for you!
Pros: The staff, the rooms and the cleanliness!
Cons: The hotel needs to be brought into the 21st century by someone adding a livelier atmosphere to it, and a USP to survive!
Location: The location was really not great. It is too far from the main shops and bars with steep cobbly roads to climb!
