"Very nice stay in a quiet location "

"This was our 6th stay at the Lancaster Hall Hotel. We really enjoy staying here for many reasons. The hotel is conveniently located. A 10 minute walk to Paddington Station and just a few minutes from the Lancaster Gate tube station. The hotel is on the older side. However, it is clean and well maintained. The staff are great. They are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection is wonderful. It is a cold buffet of cereals, toast, various rolls and sweet treats, luncheon meat, cheeses,...

"The location is very convenient for Gatwick North terminal, but signage for the drop-off at the hotel is very poor if you are not already aware of the hotel location. Our taxi driver made two circuits of the airport complex, incurring two charges, before we solved the riddle. "

"The location was excellent. Easy two block walk to the Bayswater tube station on the circle line. Easy to hail a cab. Many great restaurants and shops in easy walking distance. The rooms were very clean though the beds were very hard. I asked about changing rooms to get a different bed and was given a mattress topper, which helped slightly. Breakfast was great. It's optional but worh it. "

"Enjoyed my stay. Cute and clean hotel and staff helped store luggage until room is ready. Can walk to paddington train station and walk to Hyde Park. Note that room cleaning service is not offered if staying 3 nights or less."

"Excellent hotel overlooking the Blackheath green space outside of Canary Wharf. The breakfast is fantastic, and the staff in the breakfast and bar are unusually friendly for London, lol. Great place. A rare treat to have a small village like atmosphere. Parking is an issue and very expensive if you do happen to be driving. The hotel has free spaces for guests, but it is potluck getting one. Blackheath station is on the Southeastern so good access to London Bridge etc. "

"My stay was fine. There's some renovation work in the building next door and that was LOUD in the AM. Not the hotel's fault. The solo room is definitely cramped, but it works for short stays. Convenient location. Only noteworthy matter is that there are no USB outlets in the room, so bring a wall plug or conversion if necessary to charge your devices."

"Lovely cozy hotel in Paddington London. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would have liked temperature control in room, in terms of having heat on when I wanted it. I also would like face cloths and hand towels to go along with the provided bath towels. If you like charming and typically English, you owe it to yourself to check The Mitre House out!"

"Room was clean but the bedlinen could be a lot better. The duvet cover was worn and bobbled so felt rather rough. Also the pillows were not comfortable at all and the sink was tiny. However the shower was spacious and had a good water jet. Great location."
