"Staff made my stay great!!!"
This is a traveller/backpacker, money saving B&B. The location of the Adelphi is central to a number of bus lines. There is a supermarket nearby and a huge park right across the street. What really made this hotel stand out for me compared to others was the staff. The onsite manager during my visit was Mandeep. She was amazing and made sure we were comfortable, she gave great directions and when she didn't have the answer was quick to resource the right answer. We enjoyed this hotel so much, we checked back in for the last leg of our stay as well. I will definitely return to the Adelphi!!!

"Brilliant cheap accommodation close to city centre"
I stayed with a friend for 24 nights of August and the accommodation was far better than I had expected. The room was clean and regularly cleaned through out our stay. It was spacious and the bed was comfortable. There is a lot of storage stance; a wardrobe, under bed storage and 2 draws at the desk. The bathroom is a good size. All the staff were super friendly, there are laundry services available for £5 on the site. Plenty of electric plugs etc.

"Beautiful, clean, quiet B&B with lovely hosts"
I spent two very comfortable nights at the Glendevon Central Bed and Breakfast as a single female traveler. The house has been beautifully remodeled with careful attention to period details. The couple who owns the house and lives there keep it spotlessly clean (which is the way I keep my own home). The hosts were exceptionally caring and helpful with providing directions and answering questions. A fresh cooked breakfast with quality ingredients is provided each day. Overall, the stay was a pleasant treat.

"Nice, but loud & could be more comfortable"
The room was clean. The bathroom is small, but at least it's connected to the room itself. The mattress is in need of some loving - it was hard and springy so that wasn't the best. The street the accommodation is on is shared with a fire station, and LOUD emergency vehicles woke me up several times the first night. I would recommend this place to someone in a pinch and with a very low budget.

Pocket Guide: Edinburgh Leith 2 stars Hotels

Once a seaport town, Leith was incorporated into Edinburgh in 1920 amidst controversy and maintains its own identity. Leith Walk connects the city with its primary port where the Water of Leith feeds into the Firth of Forth. Visitors can tour the Britannia, which for 44 years was the Royal Family’s private yacht. Golfers may want to stop at Leith Links where the rules of the game were devised in 1744.
