Hotel close to where we needed to be.

Posted 31-Aug-2015
Pros: Location, food, staff.
Cons: Better pillows and clearer signage for where reception is.
Location: Close to supermarket.
Good location. Friendly staff. Breakfast was good. Hotel room clean and spacious but pillows were really flat and bed not very comfortable. Not very clear where reception is when you enter car park.

Good for families- including pre teens & teens.

Excellent value, large rooms. Our children are 9,12,&14yrs old so a difficult age to find family rooms- normally we're expected to split the family. Elme hall not only accommodated our family size but did so with space!! Both the bed/livingroom and bathroom were a good size, the breakfast was excellent, and the staff were superb! Would definitely go again.

hotel which did not come up to expectations

Posted 03-Aug-2015
Pros: Room was clean
Cons: Could be a little more truthful about its location - ie. not in Wishbeach. There was no mention of a Lodge!!! So guests expected to be housed in Hall
websight description did not match reality. We were housed in the annex (not lodge!!!) The room was sparse and basic, no curtains only a blind. no cupboard space, one old worn chair. 2coat hangers. Not a kingsize bed as ordered - 1 double bed. bathroom very small - wait your turn job! reminded us of a basic holiday park room. It was clean and adequate - but not what we paid for. There was a route march to breakfast - fortunately it wasnt raining! Wouldnt use it again - Travelodge next time - cheaper!!!!

Very friendly and accomodating

Posted 16-Jul-2015
Pros: Friendly staff, cleanliness.
Cons: Toilets/Shower room was quite cramped. In all three rooms we booked, the shelf in the toilet was tilted to the extent that things were sliding off!
We booked three rooms at this hotel for one night of a four day cycle tour. The hotel kindly let us put our cycles in the ballroom where they were under lock and key and CCTV surveillance! We stayed in the lodge rather than the main building, which was relatively new. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful, we had our evening meal at the hotel which was also very nice.

Good hotel for the price, but the music was loud.

Located right on a main road, but easy to find. We stayed in the seaprate lodge. The rooms are fairly nondescript but perfectly servicable and clean. The shower was excellent, really powerful. The bed was ok, but a bit soft for our liking. Usualy hotel problems with no air con or fan and only a tiny opening on the window made things a bit stuffy at night, even though it wasn't that warm. No fridge or ice facilities either to keep drinks cold. The breakfast was good especially for the price we paid. Our only issue was that they had live music on the Saturday night, which continued until midnight, followed by the additional noise of people leaving until around 01:00. We'd had a long and tiring day, so that was the last thing we needed.
