Great for a short overnight stay

Posted 12-Aug-2016
Pros: Love the number of pillows on the bed. Also, the AC work great after a hot, humid day.
Cons: Lights at the entrance road so you know how to get to the parking lot in the dark after a long day of driving.
Location: Would have been nice if there had been some fast food places to go through for breakfast in the morning near by.
It was just what I needed for a quick stay to sleep between two long driving days. Nothing flashy, but just a nice, simple place to sleep. It was a little difficult to find the entrance road in the dark, but not too bad.

You get what you pay for

Pros: Good location; low rate. Front desk people were friendly.
Cons: The noisy fan in the bathroom came on whenever the light did, a real pet peeve of mine. Also, the air-conditioner was on the loud side.
We came late lobby was locked but a human came to a check-in windows and we conducted business through a glass partition, the kind you'd use at a liquor store in a bad neighborhood. When we got to our room, it *reeked* of smoke though there were signs everywhere proudly complaining that the property was smoke free. Being road weary, I didn't have the energy to change at that point, it so I just breathed through my mouth most of the time I was in the room. The next day, the office was open and the agent was very accommodating in letting me change our room. The first room I inspected also stunk of smoke, but less badly. I took the third room which did not smell of smoke, but had an extremely strong smell of cologne. I read the fine print at check-in and saw that we'd be automatically charged a tiny sum for the room safe (that had "limited liability"). Luckily, since the reservation went through Expedia, that charge appeared and then was credited off on the bill. If the rooms did not smell, I'd call this a great value. Nothing fancy but fine for 2 nights.

will pass on this one next time

This motel is doing the minimum. Everything I had with me on this trip smelled of smoke after one night in this "non-smoking"room. There was no breakfast which is the standard anymore for this sort of motel. The sheets and towels were clean but the the bedspread was stained - not egregiously, but still. According to a sign in the room a guest could upgrade to Red Roof Plus to receive such amenities as a hairdryer in the room. I don't know that I have ever stayed somewhere that didn't provide a hairdryer. Before I caught the upgrade advertisement, I assumed that someone had lifted the hairdryer from my room and that management hadn't bothered to replace it.

Would've been better without the smell of marijuan

Posted 09-May-2016 on Hotels
The room was nice and cozy. I wasn't expecting that there would be a fridge or a microwave, so that was nice as well. The only downfall was the strong smell of marijuana coming from the room next store. The people appear to be living at the hotel. They had a dog in the room with them also.
