Comfortable, clean, and inexpensive!

Posted 30-Nov-2015
Pros: quiet, comfortable, inexpensive
Cons: fresh fruit on the breakfast buffet would be nice!
We stayed here 3 nights over Thanksgiving weekend. The hotel was full our first night, yet we never experienced any noise problems. When we checked in early Wednesday evening, the attendant noticed we'd been assigned a smoking room, and quickly changed us to non-smoking, and was very pleasant and helpful. The free breakfast buffet food was still fresh and hot when we arrived near the end of breakfast time, and tables were bussed quickly. A pleasant experience, and we will be back!

We'll stay here again!

Posted 18-Nov-2015
Pros: Nice room lay out suites.
Cons: The hallway carpets are pretty wrinkled albeit clean.
Location: Good central location to both sides of Wichita.
Very pleasant stay for good price. True there are signs of wear here and there but still very clean and everything you need. The breakfast was well served in a pleasant dining area. Good hot water which is getting to be a rarity...

Old hotel with some maintenance issues

Posted 27-Oct-2015 on Hotels
This is an older hotel with a worn interior. The room we stayed in was a suite, we didn't need the kitchen, so I've go not comments on that. The DVD player was a positive as was a breadth of channels to pick from on the TV, we were working, so it was up - out - back - crash, so we didn't really get to use the TV much. The chairs in the room were uncomfortable. The pillows on the bed were flat... very flat... and the bed was soft (vs. firm). The worst part of the room was the bathroom. The lighting made you look ghoulish and the toilet ran on and on (jiggle the handle to make it stop) and the shower's water control was broken, we got the front desk guy to come in and he messed with it for a little while, it had a trick, you had to force it with hard turns (I fear someone with hand issues would be unable to turn on/off the water) - and it needed a towel to force it back off. The best thing about the whole place was the breakfast, it had real meat and eggs as well as other - what actually looked like - cooked items verses the cr@p-tastic food served at other hotels that they try to pass off as breakfast. Overall, not entirely thrilled with the stay - don't know why or how the shower was so broken without them knowing about that and they could have picked better items for the room or replace them as they're worn and it would have been a different story (cause any place that is clean is a serious plus in my book and the place was clean)

A few minor complaints, but overall very nice.

Posted 24-Oct-2015 on Hotels
The room smelled strange (almost like a dirty diaper), and the water pressure in the shower was so hard, I felt like I didn't need soap, just let the water power-wash me. No control on water pressure/force, so I just had to endure. That is my only "complaint". The smell of the room wasn't over-whelming, and after being in there for 10 minutes, it was not noticeable. Noticed a very strong cigarette smoke smell in the hallway, even though that entire wing was all non-smoking. That smell did not come into the room, however. Free evening drinks and popcorn in dining area were a very nice surprise. Breakfast the next morning was much more than I expected and wonderful. Room was great except for the above-mentioned and for the money, more than exceeded my expectations. Great location for where I was coming from and headed to next. Friendly staff as well.

Good value

Posted 19-Oct-2015
Pros: It's a good value for the price, only a few dollars more than the major budget chain places. The breakfast is outstanding.
Cons: It's beginning to fade slightly with age and needs steady maintenance attention.
Location: East Wichita--convenient to the VA hospital, but as in most American cities, there's not much within walking distance.
The rooms are large, and all have kitchens. I've stayed there several times.
