The Star is a very attractive and comfortable hotel in a delightful village. The staff are helpful and friendly. The food is good but the menu could have had more choice. We enjoyed our stay very much.
OK for overnight stay, but could have had a more comforting decor. The sliding wardrobe doors were jammed! The car park was very congested although widespread, and one could end up walking a long way back to the hotel. Heard they rent out spaces to private users.(?)
We stayed in a suite as we have 2 children- absolutely perfect. Luxurious really, lots of space. Breakfast great, pool good enough (roll on summer and the outdoor pool!) Staff were non intrusive and accommodating, and some grandeur to the building - in need of a bit of repair in places, but frankly ...
Friendliest place I've ever stayed. Nice bar and food. Room very clean. Recommended.
