Hotel location was good for visiting The Harry Potter studios. Room was ok, tiny bath and when showering the water didn't drain well. Breakfast was disappointing, when I went down at 9am there was no egg, so I sat with a bowl of fruit that was dull in colour and looked dry (pineapple and watermelon) I told server about the egg. Then went back to find egg but no beans and no bacon. I waited for a few minutes then beans came out, waited a bit longer than gave up as my breakfast was going cold.
The hotel staff I met were friendly but the hotel is tired looking and breakfast wasn't the standard that I would expect of a so called 4* hotel. I wouldn't stay here again.
When we arrived at 1pm we were told we can't check in until 2pm which we knew but no effort was made to see if there was a room ready ( in the past I've been given a room if one is ready) we were told 'there is a charge of £20 for an early check in.
