The area offers fantastic restaurants with in a 7 block radius, two grocery stores within 5 blocks, access to National's Stadium. Beautiful walking trails along the water are less than 4 blocks away. Getting Around: This area is highly walkable and well-served by public transportation. You can easily explore nearby areas like Eastern Market and Barracks Row on foot for restaurants, shops, and local markets. For public transit, the Potomac Avenue Metro Station (Blue, Orange, and Silver lines) is the closest, offering quick access to other parts of the city. Biking is also a popular option with dedicated bike lanes and Capital Bikeshare stations nearby. If you prefer driving, street parking is available, though it can be limited during peak times. It was perfect for our extended family of 8 with 4 generations. All of the bedrooms were upstairs or downstairs in the basement, so it was a little challenging for the 91 year old great grandfather. The kitchen was amazing, and we ate most meals there. The metro was a short walk away with direct lines everywhere we wanted to go. The garage was small, but fit our small rental fine. The large vehicle was fine on the street and we found a space next to the house. All paper goods, soaps and shampoos were provided. The owners replied almost immediately when we emailed questions. It is close to restaurants, a grocery store and the metro. We had multiple generations with us, so we took reasonably priced Ubers and cabs often to get around. The sojourn team did a great job helping us get street parking passes for our 2 cars. The house itself is beautiful with a full apartment in the basement. The house did have a very funky smell that the Sojourn Team send someone to address on our first day. They were quick to respond to our concerns. The AC in the house needed to be cranked high for it to be comfortable to sleep on the second floor on the hot and muggy DC nights. ##### Erin K. Loved the location, close to metro (5 min walk), could get to National Mall within 20 mins. Lots of space for our family of 7 to unwind and relax. 8 min walk to a Safeway. The Roost was a great food option with several restaurant options. Having a garage was very nice to not have to worry about vehicle on the street (though it was a tight fit, had to park the van at a slight angle for it yo fit and close the door. Kitchen has mostly everything we needed (couldn’t find an ice cream scoop). Beds and linens were great. Had a pack n play for our 1.5 yo. The backyard, though small, was enjoyable.
