We've stayed in 4 hotels in DC this year. The Viceroy was our favorite. I was delighted with our spacious room. For some reason, many hotels no longer have enough dresser drawers. We had enough drawers for everything at the Viceroy. I liked the entry, the bathroom was large, the closet area was roomy. The shower was wonderful! I could've stayed in there all day. But I prefer a bar of soap in the shower. Liquid doesn't work for me. Also, don't provide cheap toilet paper! And hooks are inexpensive. There's so much available space for hooks. Showers and robes for two people do not fit on one measly hook. My partner is a Spanish speaker and, unfortunately, there were no Spanish-speaking TV stations available or the ability to subtitle the TV programming. The Fitness Center is tiny and uninviting. Just a room with some machines thrown in. The staff was lovely, very helpful and accommodating. And we loved the location. 14th Street is a treasure trove of restaurants and stores. We dined on the food of a different country up and down 14th Street for lunch and dinner for 6 days. So walkable!
