Beautiful surroundings and lovely room, food could be better
An excellent place to stay. Good Bed and Shower and easy access to shops, restaurants & pubs in the village.
The Barn was so comfortable and beautifully furnished for out visit. Thank you so much
Fabulous accommodation and good food with friendly staff
Wonderful location in the middle of an attractive park. Public rooms were striking, great period ceilings and walls. Bedroom was large and comfortable. And the breakfasts and dinners were excellent. The sports facilities in the spa were the cherry on the top. It was not cheap but definitely excellent ...
It was a beautiful little cottage with everything a couple could need for a romantic break and more. I would highly recommend this property to people and one of my neighbors are thinking of booking it too. One word. Beautiful
Buckinghamshire is a county full of surprises and unique attractions. If you think that finding an attraction that will appeal to art-lovers, historians and children alike is something of a tall order, then you're in for another surprise. Waddeson Manor is a fantastic day out, with something for visitors of all ages. Built in the late 1800s by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild as a place to display his collection of art and curios, it is now open to the public. There's plenty of outstanding accommodation nearby, whether you're looking for somewhere simple to spend a night or two or somewhere to call home for a week or two. From budget hotels to luxurious apartments, there's something to suit all tastes.
Waddeson Manor's art collection is truly spectacular and a visual feast for those with even a passing interest. You'll find Dutch, French and British paintings set against stunning interiors and housed in a beautifully designed building. However, there's more to Waddeson Manor than meets the eye: the magnificent grounds house an aviary and a Woodland Playground featuring a zip-wire, a gigantic slide and a bird's-nest swing. If you're travelling with children and want to keep the costs down, there's some good, budget accommodation in nearby High Wycombe. Chris's Motel, the Wendover Arms and the Holiday Inn High Wycombe M40 Jct4 make ideal bases from which to explore the area and come at very reasonable rates.
In addition to being open to the public, Waddeson Manor is also a licensed wedding venue. With three on-site venues to choose from, the Manor offers a sublimely romantic and stylish backdrop against which to tie the knot. There are some excellent hotels nearby, either for the happy couple or their guests. The Glade End Guest House is a luxury B&B that reputedly serves the best breakfasts in the area, while the George and Dragon offers timber-beamed accommodation and a restaurant that serves authentic Thai Cuisine. However, if larger groups need somewhere to stay, the Buckingham Apartment is a spacious, serviced and self-catering apartment, well-appointed for access to the Manor.
Waddeson Manor is a great place to take the family for a day out. Booking a hotel just quarter of an hour away ensures you can get the most from your days and relax by night.
