The hotel is beautiful, set in beautiful grounds. I stayed in one of the stable rooms, which unfortunately do not appeared to have benefited from the recent multi million pound upgrade. Due to what appeared to be a water leak (soaked carpet by bathroom), the room stuffed from low water pressure. Also the hotel seemed geared more to the business user, rather than leisure. There was a lack of areas where families/ group of friends could relax. (All rooms used for corporate events). Despite this the staff did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Horwood house hotel is a stinning location. We absolutely loved our stay here. We were welcomed very warmly and professionally by Priya who explained the layout for the hotel amd everything we needed to know in great detail. Our roon was lovely and clean with bottled water provided which we put in the fridge to cool which we loved. The spa was pleasant and not busy with a pool, sauna, steam room and heated loungers, very friendly staff in the spa also with complimentary towels and lockers . We had food and drinks in Harrys Bar and Kitchen where the staff too were very friendly and accommodating, we enjoyed the aged pork and the lamb kofta. The next morning on checkout, I heard a few guests complaining about the cleanliness and facilities of the rooms which I found odd to complain post stay when the staff didn't have the opportunity to rectify the situation as if I walked in to a room that had maybe not been cleaned to standard with obvious "personal items" left, I wouldn't have stayed in that room so if you see negative reviews, I'd advise that the staff are more than hapy to help and engage with yoy. All in all a wonderful stay amd we will be back and requesred a new one

I liked that the room was clean and I liked the service at the spa. I was not too fond of the fact that when we went for breakfast in 1911, We were asked for our room number several times and told that we had to pay fifteen pounds per person. We were unaware that we had to book to have breakfast. I felt disrespected by the treatment we received. when I expressed this. The woman was apologetic.

Lovely stay in stable block. Room basic but had everything needed and nice and quiet. Pool and spa a bonus. Nice restaurant, pleasant staff and lovely grounds. Would return if in the area.

Brilliant stay. The hotel and grounds are lovely. When we arrived at the room we had an issue in that the flush was broken and could not be fixed. The staff were incredibly helpful and moved us to an upgraded room. The onsite restaurant is lane and well furnished; the food is generally good. The gym is very good and well equipped; and the sauna/pool are nice. Will definitely think about returning here for another stay!

The electricity wasn’t working in the morning. The pool was out of use, the spa was out of use the sauna was out of use. There was no hot breakfast until 10am. This has a disastrous knock on effect to my anniversary. Book at your own risk.

We had such a wonderful stay here, particularly loving the stable room with its peace and quiet and enormous king bed. We arrived late and went for a walk around the Secret Garden at sunset which was completely magical .. followed by delicious food and cocktails in Harry’s Bar. I have to say the bar and serving staff were exceptional, friendly and smiling and welcoming, on a busy night they remained top class throughout. Highly recommend this hotel for a romantic break, it pressed our reset button after a stressful week.

This was one of the worst stays iv ever had. The rooms smelt so bad the pillows and duvert. The internet was non existent. I’m very disappointed in this stay as it was a Surpise for her 30th birthday. We also went to use the spa but you are not given robes or shoes you have to pay a rental charge which is absurd. The bathroom in our room was horrible. The water would clog up in the sink. I’m so disappointed and made this clear to the staff

Pros: lovely grounds; decent room. Cons: we spent 1 night (April 12th/13th 2024) there, booked dinner too. Restaurant was packed, we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated; took over an hour to be served. Several mistakes made with our order. The hotel is huge: it is difficult to navigate, and there are lots of steps, making it difficult to walk through, with luggage. At breakfast, there were no glasses or plates. Clearly, the hotel cannot cope with a large number of guests. Pros: to their credit, both the restaurant, and hotel reception gave us refunds.

The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and professional. (Nothing was too much trouble).The property facilities were excellent including clean and modern rooms and the gym, pool and spa facilities were an added bonus. Didn't get to experience the grounds because of the weather but they looked impressive. Food in Harry's bar was of a very high quality with excellent menus for lunch and dinner. Perfect location for visiting Bletchley park. Would highly recommend.

This hotel is vast and impersonal. The marketing photos don't show the enormous modern extensions that overwhelm the original house, which is now just a marketing backdrop and wedding venue side hustle. The rooms are cheaply furnished, but the beds were comfortable. The TV was pretty old and only offered terrestrial, not even I Player! Breakfast is poor, with stale pastries, cheap ingredients and hot food cooked hours/days in advance.

Amazing place for a getaway
I had an amazing few days here. This is a clean, modern, fresh hotel in an idyllic spot. Sauna and Steam area was clean and very well-maintained. All the staff I encountered were amazingly helpful, welcoming and friendly.
