I never expected to pay so much for a Holiday Inn Express on a weekday. ##### S Stayed 1 night in May 2022 ### 2/10 Terrible #### Carl 6 May 2022 Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort #### Uncaring staff Our stay was total a disaster when arriving and asking about the restaurant we were told itā€™s not a good menu so you should get something in and that there was only half an hour left to order anyway. When we went to our room it was clear straight away that it hadnā€™t been cleaned correctly. When getting into bed we rolled into the middle as the bed was broken. When I asked to be changed they said the hotel was full and the only room was a twin room witch was not what we booked as my wife needs a disabled room. We were then told thatā€™s all they have and we should report it in the morning with no thoughts of how my disabled wife would sleep. I had to put all my pillows along the middle of the bed to stop her rolling over while I slept along the bottom of the bed. I did mention this at reception in the morning, but all they said was sorry nothing was done. Not acceptable when they claim to have accessible rooms that are not fit for use. And if this wasnā€™t enough when I tried to turn the mattress to see if it would help the protection cover was full of stains and pubic hairs again Not acceptable. The sofa bed mattress had lost its shape so it was uncomfortable but for one night itā€™s all right. On the other side the double bed was very comfy. Great breakfast, and excellent service.
